LIBRARY LOAN PROCEDURES

Students can borrow books for a longer period of time from the library. In the table below, loan procedures are specified:

Check-out requirements to borrow books from the library:

-  Present Davy College ID Card

- For students, enrollment in the present academic year.

- For teachers, have a contract for the present academic year.

- Person in question has no outstanding fines and does not owe library material.

Take into consideration that:

- Loans are personal and non-transferable.

- Users are responsible for returning material in perfect conditions.

- Material must not be underlined, painted, or cut out.

- If upon revision, material is found damaged, please inform library staff immediately.

- Material should not be placed on the shelves; it should be deposited in the book return slots or left on the tables.

1. Pre-school children

- Children in pre-school can borrow material from the library after their class hours and accompanied by their parents or tutor. The person must approach the Circulation Desk with the child’s Davy College ID card for the present year. Likewise, the material must be returned directly to the library by the child’s parent or tutor or placed in the book return slots installed on campus for this purpose.

- Pre-school teachers are not responsible for the personal book loans of their students from the library.

2. Elementary students: Kindergarten-G2

- Students are not allowed to go to the library during recess hours; they are only allowed to go accompanied by their teachers during class hours.

- After class hours, they are can go to the library accompanied by an adult.

3. Elementary students: G3-G5

- These students can go to the library during recess. They must ask their class tutor for the library pass (5 per class).

- To borrow a book to take home, students must have their Davy College ID card.

- During class hours, students can only go with their teachers.

- After school, students can go to the library to do homework, study or for entertainment.

4. High School students: G6-G11 and International Baccalaureate:

- Students can go to the library during recess and after school.

- To borrow a book to take home, students must have their Davy College ID card.

- During class hours, students can only go with their teachers.
